Nestled in the nature near cozy fisherman's villages About ten years ago we found a real paradise on the hill of Porto Azzurro , to the borders of Capo d'Arco park. We built a house that for us is the perfect retreat. When we arrive to the villa and exit from the car, the first thing that we notice is the smell of nature, and the sky full of stars, we do not have light pollution there ! Of course the house has all the comforts and we have the light in the house but we switch on just when is necessary. Home away from home: an experience for nature lovers. We decide to share this retreat with people and rent our beautiful private villa with big garden, terrace, patio, barbecue and wood oven. To be here is an experience. Perfect for vacations for families or group of friends. In the evening to have dinner all together in the garden making a pizza in wood oven with a glass or wine or a beer add the perfect atmosphere to your vacation. We also are pet friendly accomodation.

There are many reasons why I literally felt in love with Elba. I started to visit Elba when I was a child : 6 years old. It was the 80's and I remember that my mother took her car and start a very long trip from Florence passing by Tuscany hills..there was no highway at that time. Was amazing to look through the window all that green hills with the vineyards , cultivated fields and cypresses. Then when we arrived at the port there were long queues before embarking, today there are many more ships ! In the end we arrived at our destination, we stayed in a small hotel in a charming village called Poggio close to Monte Capanne, from there there was a magnificent view over the whole island .. who knows why my mother hadn't chosen a hotel by the sea, I only know that I thank her for not doing it, because in that rural landscape, I could appreciate the beauty of nature, the chestnut woods, the water springs, the villages with the traditional Tuscan houses and then in the morning we went down to the sea, and we stayed hours to bathe in crystal clear water. That's why I love the Island of Elba because rural villages still exist, it's a corner of paradise with crystal clear sea surrounded by nature ... where vegetation and beautiful beaches blend in perfect harmony. Villa Rosa dei Venti is a private holiday house that we love to share with special guests that love the nature and relaxing places. When you will arrive from the continent the first thing you will notice is the sky full of stars ..yes because the villa is immersed in the mediterranean bush but 1 minute from the road that connect Rio to Porto azzurro . Due to the position the privacy is absolute and we also have a shower in the garden ..what is more beautiful that have a shower looking the sky ? ( of course you also have 2 showers in the villa ). The other thing you will notice is also the smell of flours , rosmarin , and mediterranean scents...elba has a huge variety of native plants that contribute to creating forgotten scents. Get lost walking in the little tiny streets overlooking the sea , this is a special walk that arrives to the castle where the view on the gulf is superb , in my walk you will do a jump on the past passing by paths with little window on the port ,narrow road with typical funny writing on the wall and you will arrive on the port . Trouwens .. Wat is er beter dan een glas wijn en houtoven om een zelfgemaakte pizza te bakken? Villa Rosa dei Venti heeft een terras waar u 's avonds kunt eten en uw eigen pizza kunt koken! This is me and Stefano ...as you can see ..we love aperitifs ..my father when he calls always ask if I am doing "un aperitivo " in Italian of course ..because he reads a lot , is full of knowledge but he never wanted leasrn english ! do not ask me why !
